-. . 4 . (From Our Own Correspondent). BOY AND GIRL SCOUTS. The Boy and Girl Scouts are putting in good work under their Scoutmaster, Mr Booth, and Scoutmistress Miss Hicks. THE SUNDAY SCHOOL. ' On Friday evening last a pleasant tea and Christmas Tree . distribution took place in the local hall, with the Sunday School children and Vwr teachers. The Rev. Franklin presided. The tables v, Jere beautifully decorated and laden with good things of all kinds, and sweets and apples were also distributed among the children by their teachers. The Rev. Franklin, ! who delivered an appropriate speech, presented the annual prizes to the I pupils. A Christmas Tree, laden with ' toys, was presided over by Miss Mavis i Death, who. as Father Christmas, handed out each toy to its corresponding : ticket or owner. Three hearty chews . were given for Mrs W. Nicholas, the superintendent, and also fotr all the Sunday School teachers. GENERAL. Haymaking is now in full swing, and ! the cows are doing well, while many j new plots of lueern© are be'iig put in ; all round the district, and so far promises success.
