HASTINGS, Jan. 4. The Hawke's Bay tennis tournament was continued in fine weather to-day. At the lunch adjournment the following remained in the principal events: Ladies' Championship Singles—Miss Ormond, Mrs. Hodges, Misses Macfarlane, Lloyd, Gray, Howe, Knight, Cato, Paton, Mrs. Lascelles, Misses Kennedy, Fenwick, Lance and Boon. Ladies' Championship Doubles —Mrs. Maitland and Miss Kennedy, Mrs. Hetley and Miss Clark, Misses Lance and Lloyd, Miss Gray and Mrs. Lascelles, Mrs. Bree and Mrs." Brown, Mrs. Green and Miss Fenwick, Misses Cato and Ormond, Mrs. Burke and Mrs. Burnard, Miss Macfarlane and Mrs. Scott Watson.
Combined Doubles—Powdrell. and Mrs. Hetley, Milburn and Miss Clark, Goss and Miss Fanning, Moir and Miss Howe, Snodgrass and Mrs. "Van Asche, Smyth and Miss Lance, Johns and Miss Knight, Page and Miss Wellwood.
Men's Doubles—Robson and. Griffiths, Powdrell and Powdrell, Moir and Page, Wilson and McGregor, Bee and Miller, Edmondson aricf McDougall, Goss and Aitken. The last pair were in the semi-final, but forfeited owing to Aitken returning home. Men's Singles— At the end of the fourth round the following remain: Nelson, McDougall, Elliott, Powdrell, Edmondson, Snodgrass, Shaddick, Burke, Johns, Page, Smyth, Young, Long, Cuff, Milburn, Welch, Berge, S. Powdrell, Fenwick, Walker and Feld.
Boys' Championship Singles—Final Knott beat Ritchie, 6—4, 7—5.
The finals of all other events will be played to-morrow..
