<BY CABLE--PEESS ASSOCIATION-COPYEIGHT Received Jan. 4, 1.45 p.m. CAPETOWN, Jan. 3. ihe Labour Conference adopted a modification of Mr. Cresswell's proposals by deleting from the constitution the clause affirming the socialisation of the means of production and -distribution, and making the objective -ot the party securing for the producers Ivy hand and brain the full fruits of ■their industry, with the most equitable 'distribution thereof that may be possible on the basis of common ownership of the means of production-, also -the best obtainable system of popular administration and control in each industry .or service, with a view to the ■ultimate achievement of a democratic ,and socialist commonwealth.—Aus - N.Z.
