' (BY TELEGBAPTT—PHFRS ASPORTATION I ' WELLINGTON, Jan. 3. There is considerable criticism of the action of the Cricket Council in barring Kortlang from the New Zealand team. He is considered by . leading cricketers here as fully qualified. He .himself says he has resided in New Zealand since 1919, with only short absences necessitated by his business. The local chairman holds that Kortlang is eligible to represent Wellington, and he did, in fact, play in the Plunket Shield match. i
