POSITION IN NEW PLYMOUTH.

No advice has been received by the New Plymouth shipping offices concerning the holding up of shipping. The only steamer in port yesterday was the Union Company's CoTinna, and she left in the afternoon for Onehunga according to programme. The. Rimu is timed to leave Onehunga for New Plymouth at 2 o'clock this afternoon, but, as she arrived at 12.45 yesterday morning, there is sufficient timefor the seamen and firemen to hand in their notices if they desire to hold up the vessel and prevent her leaving to-day.—News.
