Dr. Adams, Government astronomer, gives the Australian Government his best praise for the Liberal assistance given to the eclipse expedition and-the effecEivity of the'work done by Com-I mander Quick and- his staff. The equipment and supplies were complete in every respect and the naval men I took chargo of the transport through-! out. The manner in which the expedi- ! tion was carried put reflected the great- ! est credit on the Government. The American and Canadian parties are pass-ing-through Auckland to-day.
