TOWN BOARD

The monthly meeting of the Town Board was held on Tuesday evening Present: Comrs. Allen (chairman), m?' Guy '- Law ' Shepherd, and Betts. lhe engineer's report of work done during the past month, and the installation of the new motors at the factories and five new consumers, was adopted.

The engineer also suggested the board procure a friction clutch for thel :?£ r■ ÜBe and alO h -P- motor for another factory connection.—lt was reresolved to procure same at an early date. - J The foreman's report for the month was received and dealt with. It was resolved that the 'clerk write Mr.^ibson m connection with the condition of down pipes at his Kaponga property, asking that same be attended to at once. Suggestions re footpaths and roads from the Works Committee were received. It was decided to make enquiries re a number of sections suitable for building sites and that the building quesmT,be thoro"gfcly gone into. Thursday week was considered a suitable day for a clean-up of the town. * Mr. Williams was granted a permit to build stables, and also to build a bathroom on to the house' | Comrs. Allen and Betts were appointed a committee to wait on Messrs. In my report of the children's fancy dress ball, I omitted to mention that durmgtne evening Mr. J.
