! In common with other summer games tennis, one of the best, has begun anther season's work and tlie prospects appear very bright. A third club has sprung out and the ashes of the Ha? i wera Club's old courts, on the back portion of the bowling club's property, and already a strong ' membership has joined up, with a waiting list also. The presence of another club should be welcomed by the present clubs and spur everyone on to do their best for the sport aucf for members individually. The extra matches between clubs winch now will be possible should foster the sport and lead to a still keener interest and a consequently improved standard of play. Members should all practice and train if they wish to do better. As in other sports, there is need of becoming' proficient by practising special shots. Members' interest would be quickened und their joy in the game would be materially increased by consistent practice.
