(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION ) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 27. i il6^ a.nnual meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council was held to-night w^,- 6 President (Mr.. E. HeathcoteWilhams) expressed satisfaction with the progress of younger players. He' deprecated the friction which had arisen among the minor associations regarding the itinerary of Maclaren's team. The best had been done, he sa:d, in view of the time limit. Officers were elected as follow: Patron, the Governor-General; president, Mr. E. Heathcote-Williams; management committee, Messrs J. S. Barrett, S. F. Wilson, E. R.,^aygill, D. Reese, D. Redpath; treasurer, Mr. W. H. Winsor; secretary^ Mr. J. F. Peak. It was agreed that challenges for the Hawke Cun must be in the hands of the secretary before November 1. Tli€ management committee will allocate the-' challenges as deemed ndvisable.
