HOBART, Oct. 26. In the Assembly, a censure motion was defeated by 15 votes to 13 during committee of supply. A sum of £1 was knocked; off the wages of the Governor's gardener as an indication that the House desired a discontinuance of State Governors.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
