SUNFLOWERS HELP DAIRYMEN OF NORTH CANADA.
Up to the present year, only one silo has been in use in the Fort William district. However, the success achieved with sunflowers has given an impetus to silo-building, with the result that 8 to. 10 silos are being-put up this year. Most of these are of stave construction, though one man is building a pit-silo. =■ v,-V...... ■...... Sunflowers are" being grown almost entirely for ensilage.
