FOUR MEN INJURED.

AUCKLAND, Oct. 8. Numerous accidents occurred in the city yesterday. William John MacDermott, secretary of the Auckland Alliance, received serious injuries through being knocked down by a tram. It is stated MacDerinott was jp-ooeeding along Queen street when the wind lifted his hat across the street. He ran out to recover it, not noticing a tramcar, and he ran right into it. MacDermott sustained severe injuries to the head, and is still unconscious.

A. McMath, a married man, aged 42, was knocked down by a tram in Queen street. He sustained a fractured sisull.

Thomas McFadden, aged 45, was knocked down by a motor in the city and slightly injured.

Charles Guthrie, who was driving a tram, collided with a motor 'bus, and sustained severe cuts.
