Mr. Jessep, vice-chairman of the New Zealand Meat Produce Board, has returned to London from Bristol, 'Cardiff, Liverpool, aiid Manchester, where he <coiiferred with the civic and port authorities and also with business men in quest of direct shipments. Mr. Jessep, interviewed, said he was most impressed with! the necessity to use the ports as. ditributing centres^, because the expense, delay, and deterioration of meat and fruit arising from distribution from London, has become most serious.
