HOBBS, THE INVINCIBLE.
! In the annual match Yorkshire v. The Rest of England The Rest scored 207 (Hobbs 100). Yorkshire had seorod 3-5 without loss of a wicket' at ihe ' close of the first day. This is Hobbs' 99th century in first-class cricket. He ,is sure to finish his career, ia firstclass cricket with -a, greater number of centuries than his mentor, Tom Hayward, who had 104 to his name when he dropped out. Possibly, too, Hobbs will eclipse W. G. Grace's record of 126 centuries.
