Cut telegeaph—prfss association. y. WELLINGTON; Oct.- 6, In the course of a statement in the House to-day the Hon: C.1. J. Parr denied the allegations made in a recent cable-message by a Sydney medical practitioner regarding the method of" (examining the -passengers and 'crews on steamers arriving from plague-infected countries. He had a Teport from Dr. McLean, health officer at Wellington, who said every precaution -was taken and very special care was exercised in sterilising the thermometers used.
