' V Mr. A. B. Donald, who is interested in many large financial projects in Aus- . tralasia' and' the Pacific Islands, and who with another gentleman has bought out the company controlling the Taranaki oilfields, passed through Hawera this morning on his way) to Australia. His trip is in connection witl the development of the oilfields. Mr. W. Grounds, chairman of the proposed Dairy Control Bistard, and Mr. Brash, secretary, returned to Wellington from New Plymouth this morning. There passed away on Wednesday at the Palmerston North Hospital another of New Zealand's pioneers in the person of Mrs. R. Robinson, relict of the late. Mr. John Tucker Robinson, and mother of Mrs: J. H. Read and Mr. P. T. Robinson, of Palmerston North. The deceased lady was born in Marlborough seventy-five years ago, her father. Mr. M. Aldridge, having been one of the foundation settlers of the province and one of the/bestknown of the pioneers. The late Mrs. Robinson was also widely known and esteemed in Marlborough and Wanganui, where she had,lived. Five daughters, and one son survive her.
