The Daily Telegraph's Geneva correspondent states that though Germany, in the last few weeks, has been not only sounded but solicited to 'join the League of Nations, "I learn authoritatively," lie says, "that she has not the slightest intention of joining, in. view of France's unwillingness to treat her as an equal wijfchin the League. ! The German press of all shades of opinion, except the Pacifist, are strongly opposed to joining at present, holding that it would be like going to a house where the host will not shake the hand of his own guest. ! - j
