COUNTESS OF ESSEX DEAD.
LONDON, July 28. The Dowager Countess of Essex was found dead in a bath in her London home. Death was caused apparently by heart disease. She was a wellknown American beauty, and was the model for Herkomer's famous picture "The Lady in White."
