BRICK AND PIPE INDUSTRY.

Samples of glazed drain pipes an<£ fittings, now "'manufactured by then | Sedgebrook Brick and Tile Co., Ltd.^ j of Wanganui, were shown to a Star re- ! presentative to-day. The pipes are oS first-class quality, and have been highly approved of by engineers and drain layers, who have seen and tested them. After considerable expense and time mi experimental work, the company's efforts have been very successful, and 5, hey are now in apposition to supply aIF kinds of glazed and unglazed pipes and? fittings in any quantity. This new industry will also prove of considerablebenefit, to this district. Hitherto all pipes have been obtained from Wellington, but it will now be possible to procure them in Wanganui, saving freight between Wellington and Wanganui—a large item. The Wanganui Company is to be congratulated on this new enterprise and deserve every success. —*
