SECOND GRADE. HAWERA (6) v. PATEA (3). These teams met at Haw-era andl ; played a closely contested match,- witbi the result that only a penalty goal was. the difference between them. Fori Hawera, whose forwards played a nice^ I game, Champion scored a try, whileI Jarvie converted a penalty goal and Laing scored a neat try. Mr. H, Whittington was referee. FOURTH GRADE. ' Patea journeyed to Hawera to meet Kaponga, but the latter failed to arrive. Waimate fourths beat TechnicaE School, and Waimate thirds beat Okaiawa, by default in both cases.
