I Kaponga seniors met and defeated?. Waimate by 19 to 3 on Saturday. Although the scores are very one-sided, : the game was a very hard one, and? , Waimate proved a much improved I team. Kaponga won tKe toss and play— led uphill and with the wind. From the kickout Waimate pressed "hard, but could* not get over. Finally Lynskey secured^ and rushed through the Visitors on his^ own, and scored between the posts, Malone converting. The first spell ended Kaponga 8, Waimate 0. On re--' suming play both teams were forced m* quick succession, anS. a little laterMalone broke through and scored a». i good try, which he converted.
