10,000 Bottles, DONATED TO THE AXF. *»| Ten thousand bottles of Dr. Morse's Indian Root Pills were offered to the Australian ' Military Authorities during the. early months of the war, and accepted by them for ths use of the troops on board the transports, in camp, in Egypt and Gallipoli. An offer was made to allow a responsible Military. Medical Officer to .see the process of I manufacture, test* the ingredients; and also to acquaint him with the general, particulars of the formula. The Mili- i tary Authorities did not see fit to accept this offer, but they no doubt satisfied themselves in their own way that these Pills were in every way suitable for the troops. It may be .stated that this offer to furnish particulars and details of the formula of Dr. Morse's Indian Root Pills would not have been made except under exceptional circumstances the war produced, when all classes of the community were trying to do something to add, to the comfort and wellbeing of the Soldiers who were going away. It may also be Stated that this offer would not have been made if the formula itself was not beyond reproach. Letters received subsequently from Egypt and elsewhere related how much these pills were appreciated, because they met the daily requirements,' and kept the men in perfect condition. Dr. Morse's Indian ,Root Pills are doubly valuable when it-Is impossible ,to obtain the various ldnds ; of food necessary to keep the system working smoothly. It was principally on this account they suited the soldiers and are indispensable to people in many parts of New Zealand. ■
