SYDNEY, May 4. A private cable message to the Japanese Consul relates that the Prince ♦of Wales, with Admiral Halsey, was parading in a Japanese street incognito •one night, when on returning homeward they were unable to make the tram con--ductor understand where they wanted to go. One passenger, however, quickly identified the Prince, whereupon all the passengers left the car to show their .respect, thus leaving the Royal party ;in an improvised special car. The desire of the Prince for an intimate ac- . >quaintance with the people has created ..a favourable impression.
