Thursday next will be an interesting evening at the Grand, Hawera, for it will be the occasion of the elocutionary recital by Mrs. Strange and her pupils, at which a very attractive programme of selections will be given. These are chosen From the works of Shakespeare, Longfellow Mark Twain, Ogilvie, and Ella Wheeler Wilcox, and embrace a varied series that will interest everyone. Among Mrs. Strange's pupils are gold medal and championship holders, and these pupils will give their best numbers. In addition there will be musical items by Miss Homer and other artists. The whole will form an entertainment that will prove very popular and is sure to attract a large audience, j Seats may be reserved at the Grand! Shop. I
