COW TESTING
Cow testing has made great headway in Scotland, and is gaming ground every day. In the last annual report ot the Scottish Milk Records Association, the secretary stated: "That the tests had been very useful and of great service and value to the association. They had more applicants for recording than had ever taken nlace in the history of the association. Up to date they had had 160 applications from new members and he was glad to say these new members were very widely spread over the country. It was evident that milk-re-cording was becoming popular, and he was sure that owners would come to realise, as they were doing to-day, that without milk-recording their business was not conducted on business lines. He was satisfied that their system was perhaps the most thorough, the nearest perfection, and the cheapest system that existed all over the world He believed that the Government, when enquiring for data, had looked to them for some, thino- that was reliable, and he believed it was the data so supplied that were used for research purposes, was very complimentary to tncm.
