Cabinet has approved a set of proposals by Sir George Fuller for ex- , tensive country development work, in which he is seeking the co-operation of the Federal Government. They include preparing lands for settlement, training j farms, and irrigation schemes which | will provied work for the unemployed ! and immigrants. Special attention is being directed to the Murray valley lands in New South Wales and Crown lands between the Great Northern railway Sid the East Coast railway; also hydro-electric schemes !at Burrinjuck and Clarence River. Sir George Fuller } is seeking to secure an agreement with the Federal Government, and, if necessary, the British Government, to finance the scheme.
