AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP.
(BY TELEGRAPH —PR^SS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, April 26. The Australasian draughts tourney was brought to a- conclusion to-night. The final round between Boreham and Lucas was well contested, the. latter winning the coveted honour.
Lucas, who is a Duneclin man, has been connected with the game for many years. He won the New vZealand championship in 1903, and was runnerup in the following tournament at Oamaru. Boreham, who is also a Dunedin man, is an experienced player, having been New Zealand champion on several occasions. In 1910 he won the Australasian championship at Brisbane, and it has remained in the Dominion tfp to the present. The. handicap match was won by G. A. Brown, the leading scores being: G. A.
