DEMPSEY'S ARRIVAL IN LONDON
Received April 19, 1.30 p.m. LONDON, April 18. Dempsey has arrived. Thousands of people participated in the ovation -at Waterloo station, women trying to kiss him. Interviewed, he said that he had come primarily for a holiday. He would like to fight here some European champion, and he hoped to meet Carpentier again. He was one of the finest and pluckiest fighters and one of the best fellows he had ever met.
