Paderewsln' denied a few weeks ago the report that he had been recalled to Poland by national leaders to accept a hagfc post.. ''It is my privilege to serve my country, ' he said, "but the report rhat I have been called back to Poland is news to me. I haw received no oiler of any kind except in a diplomatic capacity. I have no intention of taking part i& governmental affairs. Persuasion is unnecessary to induce Paderewski to return to Poland. "I shall return soon, probably within four or five months," he said. "Ai present lam only on furlough. When. Ido return I will remain there for a length of time. I am at the service of Efcy country and always ready for a call. As yet I have not considered" the problem of remaining there permanently, or of accepting a Government post.''
