A considerable advaute Was made by the opening of new lodges and the influx of members into the existing lodges. He was pleased to note that the number of ladies' lodges was increasing very rapidly. There was a f rowing demand tor juvenile lodges.here was an increase of lodge libraries ana an evident desire to accumulate information by the purchase of Protestant literature. The Grand Secretary reported that during the fourteen years since the formation of the grand lodge much progress had been made in raisino- the order to a greater state of efficiency and making its mission more clearly understood and appreciated. Since the last annual meeting twelve new warrants had been issued and one reissued, making ten male and three female lodges to register and three applications for female warrants had still to be dealt with. Keports from lodges were very encouraging and indicated all round progress. Ihe Oiange Grand Lodge carried a number of resolutions dealing with loyalty to the Crown. One called on every member of the institution in the Dominion to resist the efforts of those who are endeavouring to overthrow the constitution. It was decided to request the Government to amend the Electoral Act providing that no candidate for the House be nominated until he has taken the oath of allegiance. It was decided that with a view of securing maximum results at the coming elections to call a conference of the grand exeeut'tive, the R.B.P. executive, the Pro*f^ ant Alliance executive, and the P.P.A. executive to consider co-opera-tion. It was decided to urge the Minister to make British history a compulsory subject in senior and "junior national scholarships, education 'board scholarships, and public service examinations. Ihe Grand Lodge recorded its aopreeiation of and affirmed support with deepest sympathy, towards its Ulster brethren. The grand executive was recommended to prepare pamphlets on the evils of mixed marriages. The next meeting will be held at Dunedin.. Officers were appointed as follows:— Grand Master, Rev. F.
