DEATH OF^ FARMER

(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON JM., March 26. William John Port, aged 50, a farmer, of Awahuri, who was removed to the Palmerston North hospital on Friday evening with a bullet wound in his head, died early this morning. He was found lying on the floor of a wliare near his house, on the occupants of his house investigating the reason of a rifle report. That day deceased had been to Feilding, and appeared in his visual state of health.
