KAPONGA v. ELTHAM

What would have been have one of the most enjoyable afternoons on the local cricket ground was spoiled by the weather on Saturday, when Kaponga met Eltham. Owing to the very strong wind and a slight sprinkle of rain really good cricket was out of the question; still, some bod bating resulted on both sides. The ground was inclined to be a little slippery, with the result that the bowling was erratic, but the Eltham team are good sports and did not complain.
