TRADING STATIONS
(BT TELEGEAPir—PBESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, March 22. When tke Germans occupied Samoa, a big Germany company, known as the B.H. and P.G., had trading stations in various parts of the Islands. When "the New Zealand Government took over the German property it did not keej>. these stations in operation, but retained possession of them. The Administration has now decided definitely that it will not reopen the stations „ Tinder State auspices, and is accordingly offering the greater number for sale or lease. The D.H. and P.G. showed excellent judgment in the, selection of sites, and many of its trading stations occupied the best positions, so that they may be expected to be disposed of without difficulty. Only British or Samoan-born subjects, or British firms or companies, will be permitted to acquirethe stations. Disposal of the sites is in accordance with the Administration^ policy of reducing as much aa possible the expenses of supervision and I btate administration.
