MEETING OF STRIKERS

A monster meeting of strikers in Johannesburg Town Hall resolved to stand firm until they have secured a victory. The chief speaker declared that that was their answer to General Smuts' challenge. The chairman ' announced that any strikers returning to work to-morrow would be dealt with by the commandos.
