THEFT AND VIOLENCE.

(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) INVERCARGILL, Sept. 14. At the Magistrate's Court to-day. Thomas James White was charged with the theft of £12 with violence from the person of John Henry Russell farm labourer, who alleged that accused attacked him in a train after he refused to supply him with liquor, .knocked him down, and abstracted money from his pockets. Accused was committed for trial.
