AUROA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

The annual meeting of the Bowling Club was held last week, and was well attended. The report and balance sheet were adopted, and showed the club to be in a sound financial position. The following officers were re-elected: President. Mr. A. C. Johnstone; vupepresidents, Messrs Dunn and Duff; hon. secretary, Mr. Kilpatrick; hon, treasurer, Mr. I. S. Roberts; auditor, Mr. A. P. Larcombe. The selection committee for the ensuing year are Messrs Johnstone, Bradford, and Duff. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the Hawera Club for the use of their plant for top-dressing the green, also to Messrs Allen and Corkill for kindly attending to the top-dressing. The green is now in capital order, and it is hoped to have the opening'day early in October.
