Tho attorney declared lie will ask lor tne prosecution oi theso witnesses, on tile ground of perjury, and ii tho Grand Jury tails to indict wilt proceed to tho prosecution of Ar-j buckle under tbe Polico Court charge of murder.
NEW YORK, Sep. 13. The chief witness against Arbuckle has mysteriously disappeared.
VVnen the inquest" was resumod, Mrs Delmont, who laid the murder complaint, failed to substantiate hor first story. She now says that Arbuckle merely followed Miss Rappe into a bedroom and closed the door and did not drag her in. She described Miss Uappd* as tearing off her own clothes. The inquest proceedings became rather farcical when Mrs Delmont grew sleepy on the witness stand, and toftl the Coroner haltingly that she took a hypodermic before coming into Court.
