WELLINGTON, Sept. 9. | An inquiry - was opened a;t the Wellington Teachers? Training College into the allegations made concerning the, actions of a number of students in connection with the case of Miss Weitzel, who was convicted of selling seditious literature. After consultation with the students, it was decided not to open the inquiry to the press. The report of the inquiry into the charges against certain students of, the i Training College, arising out of their attendance at the Magistrate's Court, when Miss Weitzel was recently convicted of circulating literature encouraging violence and lawlessness, is now j available. It is stated that students attended the Court through curiosity and personal sympathy with accused. They deny approval or support of her offence., no student being aware of the circulation of unlawful literature at the Training College. Victoria College students denied that Miss Weitzel ever tried to influence them .with regard to the political or social principles she adopted. Many of them had never spoken to Miss Weitzel, and were not aware of the views she holds. None of the students concerned in the inquiry had contributed towards the payuient of Miss Weitzel's fine.
