NUMEROUS ARRESTS MADE

Advices' from Mayence" state that there was serious rioting at Spires, Bavaria, on the occasion of the workmen's demonstration in. connection with the 'murder of Herr Erzberger, The ftovernmwt offices were partly demolished. ' Numerous arrests were wade. The workmen struck to obtain the release .of those imprisoned. They stormed tk« Government offices. The police fired their rifles, a workman being killed and many wounded.
