PLUNKET SOCIETY

MONTHLY MEETING

Tho usual monthly meeting of the society was held in tho Pluuket rooms on Monday, {September 5, at 7.30 p.m. The members present were Mesdames Foyster (president), Johnson, Jobson, Henderson, ilaggett, Speuce, Sellur, and Dowling (secretary). Mrs Johnson reported that many of the townspeople had helped her greatly in the work of getting the present rooms in order.

A voto of thanks was accorded to Mrs Johnson and to all who helped to make the rooms so bright and pleasant, especially to Mr Morton for painting the rooms and to Mr Iteeco for doing tho signwriting. It was decided to havo appeal cards printed and these are to bo sent out, inviting people to become members of tho society.

Miss Pattriek, director of Plunket nursing, notified her intention of visiting Huwera on Wednesday, b*|,winber 7 A and asked that Nurao Bix might have some free hours to go over matters with her for the advancement of the work.

Nurse's report for the month showed the number of new cases to be 48, number of mothers anjd babies to rooms GG3, number of visits to homes 304.
