In connection with an application received by the Board that permission be given to impart scriptural instruction under the Nelson system at Kelbujrn Normal School, the Education Board, as the body charged with the -direct controi of the institution, -arranged with the staff for a referendum of the parents of the children enrrolled at the school, with the following result:—ln favour of the proposal 207, -against 38, neutral 11, no answer 56. -In view of the large majority of parents •who approved the proposal', the" Board zgjranted the application /during the pleasure of the Board and subject to with the head teacher.
