OWNERS DECIDE TO CLOSE
DOWN

LONDON, Aug. 12. Yarrow's have decided to close down shipbuilding on the Clyde on November 30, owing to the ship-joiners and other strikes causing a reduction of output. The costs entailed by disputes is excessive, and they declare they will re-open only when conditions enable business to be conducted with some chance of success.
