ENGLISH TEST COMMITTEE AND A PLAY.

[ The Test Selection Committee is annoyed by the performance of a play entitled ' 'Choosing a' Team at the Royalty Theatre. Mr Foster, chairman of the committee, wrote to the management of the theatre: "I hear that you have' the impertinence to make light of the test matches selection committee, and have therefore requested the Board of Control to attend your-theatre and find out anything which might give cause fora libel action. I hope for your sake that it will not be so, but if there is cause it has been decided to place the. matter in the hands of solicitors, so 1 give you due notice.'9 The actors responded with an invitation to both teams to attend the performance. i
