I ' ' 'Okaiawa senior football team arrived here short of players on Saturday, and j had to fall back on their "feather-' • weight," Ruru Sam, and one of our i local boys, and Kaponga (until the last minute) thought it impossible to get a team to .give Okaiawa a game. , But players from senior to the fourth. 1 grade were picked up and eventually got going.. Notwithstanding the fact of the scratch team, the Kaponga j back lines got on some" brilliant'passing j rushes, in fact some of the best back I play witnessed this season here was .' played on Saturday. For Kaponga, Briggs and Humphries each scored a i try and McGuire kicked a goal from a 1 mark. For Okaiawa, a try was scored 1 f>v Gr. Radford and converted by C ; Radford. Mr A. H. Guy refereed.
