WAVERLEY v. HAWERA
The Waverley Men's Club sent a team, or ten to Hawera on Saturday, and although the present course was new to most of the visitors they put up some fine games, and succeeded in registering a draw with the local team. The results were as follows, Waverley being mentioned first in each case: Wybourne (Waverley) beat Ryan (Hawera)), 4 and 3: Muir beat Elliott, 3 and 2; Bradmore beat AValker, 2 and 1; Aiken lost to. Pratt, 6 and 4; C. B. Johnston and Cox all square; F. Johnston beat Duffill, 3 and 2; Merriman lost to Fletcher, 3 and 1; Parsons and Hay McKenzie all square; Metcalf lost to Brodie, 4 and 2; Turner lost to Gibson, 2 down.
