GARDEN VEGETABLES.
In the garden vegetables section, for the heaviest pumpkin or squash, the first prize was awarded to B. M. Taylor (Hawera), whose exhibit weighed 571bs. Second prize went to S. Bryant" (Hawera), "SSlbs.
In the two roots, heaviest mangolds, the weights were: T. Struthers (Hawera) 491bs, T. H. Broomfield (Auroa) and R. Joblin (Hawera) 391bs each.
