OKAIAWA 11. (6) v. OPUNAKE 11. (3)

The above game was played at Opunake on Saturday. The visitors opened up strongly and quickly secured two tries. Opunake's defence then improved, and they successfully held their opponents back for the rest of the game. Early in the first spell Opunake secured a try, and it was only bad luck that prevented other tries being secured in the second spell by the local team. Mr H. Young refereed.
