HAWERA POPULATION.
The pepulation of Hawera borough., one of the smallest boroughs in New Zealand, having an area of only 730 acres, is 4148. The census takesa last month shows thai the borough contains 2053 males and 2095 females. The population at the 1916 census was 3375- The growth of population ia the five years is therefore 773.
