AUSTRALIA v. MINOR ASSOCIATIONS.

(BY XELEGUAPH —PR ICSS *fiSOCTATION > WELLINGTON, March 8. The Australians batted first, and all were out for 271. The end of the innings was somewhat sensational. Seven wickets were down for 271, and thereafter there was no addition to the score, Collins finishing with a fine average. Richardson played sterling'cricket for his runs, as also did Lampard and Ratcliffe.

The chief scorers for Australia were —Richardson 97, Bogle 35, Lampard 67 (not out), Ratcliffe 32. Collins took four wickets for 10, Bernau one for 54, Scholium one for 70, Holland one for 64, Neale one for 6, Drake one for 20.

The Minor Associations in their first innings have lost four wickets for 94— Neale 3, Drake 15, Blair 2, Dacre 57, Me Vicar 4 (not out).
