The Parliamentary party touring theEast Coast, after meeting the natives at Ruatoki, in regard to the Ureweri land problem, went to Waimana and Nukuhou, where they were entertained at lunch by the settlers on the boundary of Messrs Williams and Hockley's electorates. Mr William© formally took over the direction of the narty, whick left for Opotiki at* 2.30 p.m. , Mr Hoekley, interviewed, declared that the run around the Whakatane county had been valuable education to the members, who were very much \, , struck by the immens" area of land M* awaiting settlement, and the urgent need of roads, etc. The hospitality of the residents was appreciated.
